We came here for NYE having not visited before, although know people who have and we have been to another Ego. Had an excellent night! Food was amazing. The service was exceptional, all the staff worked so hard and were all so friendly. It was lovely to see them all come together just before midnight! It was a great atmosphere without being over crowded. Loved the singer and the music. We will definitely return for a 'normal' night out and certainly return for NY

My first visit here and I was not disappointed. I was really surprised to find out that there was a whole vegan menu, and the choice was huge. I'm not used to having that much choice! I had the courgette fritters and then the tart for dessert, both were really nice. The service was amazing, staff very attentive and the place has a lovely atmosphere. Also I thought that the prices were pretty good too. I will return to try the other dishes. Vegetarian options: There is a whole vegan menu which is suitable for vegetarians.

We recently held a wake at Ego at the Fox following my father in law's funeral. The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional from the outset. The booking process was very easy and arrangements on the day were excellent. The quality and quantity of the food was very good. Thanks to all at Ego for making such a sad day a little easier for us.

Taken here by some friends we were visiting and it was our first time here. It was amazing. Food great and lots of it. Service brilliant and the atmosphere lovely, you could tell everyone enjoying their time here. It certainly was a lovely evening with our friends. Will come again next time in the area.Andrea

The worst restaurant I have ever been to. My family and I had lunch here today. We ordered calamari fritti, it was terrible. We also ordered a fish and chips, it was really disappointing as well. The chips are soft and oily and the fish is over fried. The king prawn and chilli linguine is the worst linguine I have ever had. It was over cooked and salty. I asked for a replacement, but it still didn’t improve. The paella was the most normal dish for this restaurant. This was not a good experience at all, totally not recommended.

I has a quite spectacular experience! My husband took me for my birthday dinner. I had a entire vegan meal and it was to die for! The service was on point and the ambiance was homey, comfortable and beautiful! I loved it!

Friendly efficient staff. Good menu choice. Sunday lunch meal deal looks good. Mushrooms and pate starter nice. Quite pricey for what you got. Then chicken piri piri and chorizo hanging kebab (blurred pic) which came with 2 tortilla wraps and the BF had the fillet steak. All very lovely. Will definitely return to try the Sunday lunch. Nice tidy and spacious restaurant and down to earth waiters. Dietary restrictions: My friend visits here for the gluten free options Parking: Lots of spaces and not cramped
